Graz University of Technology
The partners from Graz University of Technology (TUG) in Austria are located at the Institute for Computer Graphics and Vision (ICG) which is home to 5 professors and around 60 researchers. ICG is the only Austrian academic group with the charter to address both Computer Vision and Computer Graphics, and is carefully nurturing a culture of Digital Visual Information Processing to resolve the artificial boundaries between computer graphics and computer vision. The research at ICG has a strong focus on 3D Computer Vision and Vision for Robotics but also includes topics like Computer Graphics, Visualization, Medical Computer Vision, Object Recognition, Virtual Reality and Augmented Reality. The Aerial Vision team lead by Prof. Fraundorfer has extensive expertise in the domain of computer vision for unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV’s) through past and ongoing national and international projects, e.g. HOLISTIC, CONSTRUCT, PEGASUS, 3D-PITOTI, FREELINE, UAV-Semantics, SLIM.
